Job Summary
We are seeking Administrative Assistants to support the day-to-day operations of a busy property management office. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.
The Administrative Assistant will assist residents and prospective residents, support leasing activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure the property and office operate efficiently.
Responsibilities For Property Manager
- Greet residents, prospective residents, and visitors and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer phones and assist residents with questions, requests, forms, and concerns.
- Assist with leasing, including preparing information, showing units, explaining lease terms, and completing move-in paperwork.
- Assist with move-in and move-out inspections and process work orders as needed.
- Conduct routine unit and property inspections and report maintenance or property concerns.
- Monitor property grounds and communicate with residents regarding property rules or lease violations.
- Maintain confidential resident files, vacancy information, reports, and other records.
- Assist with rent-related paperwork, resident charges, credits, and account information.
- Gather documentation for changes in household members or income.
- Maintain office supplies and assist with general administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous administrative, customer service, leasing, or property management experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, telephone, organization, and customer service skills.
- Basic business math skills, including percentages and calculations.
- Ability to type at least 35 WPM preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable working with the public and handling confidential information.
Requirements for Property Manager
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle check
- Ability to travel between properties as needed
- Must obtain required property management certification during the probationary period.
