Description

Mental Health Kokua (MHK) is hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant in Honolulu, HI to support our Oahu Administrative Office on Fort Street Mall. This on-site role helps keep daily office operations organized, responsive, and welcoming while supporting the teams and programs that carry out MHK's behavioral health mission across Hawaii.As an Administrative Assistant, you'll be one of the first points of contact for callers, visitors, donors, and community partners while providing essential administrative and clerical support to MHK leadership. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, helping others, managing multiple priorities, and being the person a team can count on to keep things moving.

Administrative Assistant Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent education and experienceAdministrative Skills: Knowledge of office procedures, business correspondence, filing systems, and standard office equipmentTechnology: Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and AccessProfessional Skills: Strong customer service, communication, organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructionsFit for the Role: Comfortable interacting respectfully and professionally with individuals who may be experiencing stress, mental health challenges, or crisis situations
