p>Job Duties: ā¢ Supervises, plans, and directs the activities of subordinates and/or inmate crews ā¢ Establishes and carries out preventative maintenance schedules on all equipment, mechanical equipment, and facility maintenance activities ā¢ Calculates cost estimates for maintenance/construction projects while working within budget constraints ā¢ Maintains records on all equipment/tools, repairs, and preventative maintenance ā¢ Performs maintenance and construction duties on all facility buildings and/or equipment ā¢ Completes related documentation as required by policy and as directed by supervisor, using basic office equipment/computer ā¢ Attends staff meetings and trainings as required ā¢ Drives on State business ā¢ Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment.

Knowledge of:
ā¢ Budgetary issues, including estimating costs and ordering materials ā¢ Basic computer skills and associated software to create forms, charts, and conduct research ā¢ National and local building codes ā¢ Structural issues regarding building and utility service systems, including blueprints, safety practices, and codes ā¢ All trades, i.e., electrical, electronic, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, general building, and preventative maintenance ā¢ Supervisory principles and techniques, including employee relations and work scheduling.
