Uses knowledge of federal tax exempt organization law related to Type 1 Supporting Organizations corporate and trust law, charitable giving law and techniques, and Donor Advised Fund federal tax law to serve as SO Subject Matter Expert (SO SME) to supporting organizations at NCF, educating on tax-wise giving solutions; using the above knowledge, provides appropriate consultation for compliance and donor matters. Provides oversight and direction to the SO boards on matters pertaining to policy development and adherence, compliance with federal and state regulations governing tax-exempt organizations, charitable contributions, expenditures and grants, and all other matters related to ensuring the Type 1 SO tax-exempt status of the entity is not compromised, but refrains from, and disclaims, providing legal, tax, or other professional advice or representation.
