The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks: Maintaining and repairing electric equipment; maintaining records and files; preparing reports; Make repairs to facility systems; performs preventive maintenance; makes routine inspections of systems; assist in troubleshooting electrical and fire alarm systems; Prioritize, schedule, and complete work orders; order maintenance parts; record the use of parts for inventory and budgetary purposes; reads drawings and blueprints; Assist in diagnosing, repairing, replacing, adjusting, and monitoring electrical equipment/systems; Assist in new installations (panels, tv, projectors, circuits, and fixtures); Assist in maintaining, repairing, and installing a variety of electrical components including plugs, lights, electric motors, generators, parking lot lights, well and sewer pumps; Program and repair school zoning signals; Operate genie lift for high work; Locate and mark county owned underground utilities; Assist other trades such as required; May be required to work outside normal work hours in on-call or emergency situations; and. Work is typically performed requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, and some heavy work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, operation of machines, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.
