BS in Biology, Ecology, Wildlife, Fisheries, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or related science field; 0-3 years’ experience; Willingness and flexibility to travel to project sites out of area (approximately 30% overnight travel); Flexible to work outside normal work schedule as needed; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written form; Proficient in plant and wildlife identification, particularly in the Gulf South Region; Ability to develop compliance solutions in a team environment, and communicate those solutions to the client, regulatory agencies, and project staff; Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS and GPS field mapping systems; Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; Ability to work outdoors in various habitats, including but limited to wooded, swamp, marsh, etc. for long periods in variable weather conditions; Must be able to satisfy all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements including obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card; and. The primary responsibilities will include conducting wetland and waterbody delineations and assessments, habitat assessments and surveys, wildlife and plant species-specific surveys, preparing technical reports, developing figures, assisting in preparing correspondence and proposals, assisting in scoping and managing natural resource projects, and assisting in the preparation of permit applications.
