What will you be doing!
What we are looking for:
Education
University Degree in engineering or applied science or equivalent experience resulting in a sound knowledge of some engineering specialty and significant related engineering working experience.
Eligible for membership in a provincial engineering association if required.
Preference will be given to Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Experience
Two or more years of experience working on fire protection systems or design preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to maintain proficiency in fire protection engineering and fire department emergency services concepts and practices through continued education, training, and periodic review of fire protection codes and standards, which apply to CNL (Canadian Nuclear Laboratories) and its contractors.
Ability to review requirements, make recommendations, and assist with problem-solving.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required
Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat''s "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."
