Area Coordinator Rider UniversityArea CoordinatorNJThe AC will assume primary responsibility for supervision and evaluation of staff for their respective area; assist in the hiring and training of staff campus wide; oversee use of a learning outcomes framework for facilitation of residential environments consistent with the strategic goals of the University and the Division of Student Affairs; provide support for living-learning communities and affinity housing groups; coordinate operations functions including occupancy management functions, key control, maintenance work order tracking, and damage assessments and billing for their respective area; oversee and be an active participant in building prep activities prior to the start of each term; manage and oversee administrative functions associated with the residential area, including roster verification, room change processes, health and safety inspections, and roommate contracts; serve as a campus hearing officer within the student discipline system; collaborate with counseling, student health, public safety and other university departments for conflict mediation, and crisis intervention. Reporting to the Associate Director for Residential Education, the Area Coordinator (AC) is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day management of a residential area comprising multiple buildings and staff, including all aspects of residential learning initiatives, housing operations, and administrative functions.
