The selected candidate will be leading the development, approval, and implementation of program policies and procedures to ensure best educational practices and compliance with external regulatory agencies.
This leadership position involves directing and supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, promoting patient safety, and implementing evidence-based practices. Leads efforts in infection prevention and control within the unit in the way of audits and related education at the direction of nursing leadership and infection prevention.
Promotes and maintains a positive working relationship with physicians/physician extenders and providers of lab, pharmacy, and therapy services to ensure safe care of patients. Recommends to the administrator resources needed to carry out nursing activities, including but not limited to clinical equipment and supplies and the number and level of nursing personnel to be employed.
