06/01/2026 Intake Call Summary: Integration/Full-Stack Developer (Boomi)

Role Overview & Focus

This is a middleware and backend-heavy development role focused on "interlocking" (connecting) applications. The engineer will be responsible for both building new interfaces and supporting existing ones, including a legacy set of Boomi integrations.

Technical Requirements

The Core Split: 3+ Years Boomi / 5+ Years Full-Stack

• Backend (Heavy Focus): Core Java, Spring, and Hibernate. Deep understanding of backend architecture is critical.
• Integration & APIs: Strong experience with Rest API, SOAP (noted as SOAPMan/SOAP), and JSON.
• Frontend (Minimal): Basic Javascript and HTML only. They do not need a frontend expert.
• DevOps / Deployment: Experience with Kubernetes, cloud deployment models, and a solid understanding of how server clusters work.

Business Domain & Culture

• Domain: This team supports the legal side of the business technology stack.
• Team Fit: Looking for someone who can handle the "legal side of technical"—likely meaning high attention to data compliance, security, and precision.

Location & Work Model

• Location: Dallas, TX.
• Current Model: Hybrid, 2 days a week in office.
• Note: The hiring manager is checking with their leadership to see if they can loosen this to an ultra-flexible "once a month in office" model (TBC).

Interview Process

The team is moving fast with a streamlined 2-round process:

1. Round 1: Coding assessment and technical screening.
2. Round 2: System design and techno-management interview (evaluating architectural skills and team collaboration).

• Translate business needs into technical integration designs using Boomi.
• Build and deploy complex integration workflows on the Boomi platform.
• Conduct thorough testing and monitoring to guarantee integration quality.
• Diagnose and resolve integration-related technical issues.
• Partner with stakeholders to define and deliver comprehensive integration solutions.

• Proficiency in Boomi iPaaS.
• Strong understanding of API design and development.
• Experience with Java backend development.
