Administrative Assistant II ( Required - ICC Permit Technician ) Universal Engineering SciencesAdministrative Assistant II ( Required - ICC Permit Technician )Orlando, FLReceives construction documents from clients such as developers, residential home builders, or private citizens Route construction documents to plans examiners Receives documents back from plans examiners and uploads documents to the jurisdiction website or portal, or delivers to the local municipality Tracks permits through the entire permitting process at the jurisdiction (zoning, fire, civil, landscaping, etc.) Keeps the client informed of the status of their permit Files notices of commencement for clients Attends in-person meetings with clients and/or local jurisdictions to discuss permits Work closely with inspectors, contractors, engineers, and applicants to facilitate approvals. Preferred Qualifications Certification as a Permit Technician Knowledge of local and state permitting regulations Experience in a municipal building department or the construction industry Travel Requirements This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities.
