The Lab Assistant is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by performing phlebotomy on patients, maintaining lab equipment, processing of specimens, performing tests and quality control, and ensuring the lab safety protocols are followed. Check-in patients and verify that all necessary information is accurate and complete while processing the test orders in the computer system, utilizing both Epic and Laboratory Information System according to laboratory protocol.
