Active Medical Assistant certification such as: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with proof of current membership from American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with proof of current membership from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) with proof of current membership from National Health Career Association (NHA) (Test administered after 7/1/2017 only) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) with proof of current membership from National Certified Competency Testing (NCCT). In this position, you will have daily chart prep responsibilities for patient visits, room patients, obtain patient vitals, document activities, download patient test results, collaborate with Home Sleep Study and In-Lab Sleep Study teams, medication/test authorizations, and communications responsibilities via EMR, phone, and other electronic methods.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:.

Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent.

Perform lab testing on human specimens in all areas of the lab, including hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, serology, molecular, microbiology, and transfusion medicine. Report test results accurately and appropriately report critical test results to physician, nursing station, or physician office according to established protocol.

SUMMARY:

Performs tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of patient by utilizing various medical laboratory procedures in the Clinical Laboratory.

Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) required or registry eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire date.

SUMMARY:

Performs tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of patient by utilizing various medical laboratory procedures in the Clinical Laboratory.

Medical Laboratory Science certification is required in one of the following:

• Medical Technologist (MT),

• Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS),

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS),

  or an equivalent certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).

  REQUIREMENTS:

  Under the direct supervision of the Technical Systems Coordinator, assists in the planning, managing, coordinating, executing and supporting the activities of the regional laboratory information system regarding the clinical laboratory, anatomic pathology, transfusion service, and related programs.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:.

• An Associate degree with ASCP (MLT) certification OR equivalent certification OR at least 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of academic credit from a regionally accredited college/university, including 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours) of chemistry and 6 semester hours (9 quarters hours) of biology AND successful completion of a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course.
