Critical Competencies: • Ownership of inventory management utilizing a Kanban system • Strong negotiation skills, including a sound understanding of commercial, regulatory, and intellectual property elements of a contract • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and its application • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, and suppliers • Ability to partner with shop floor Supervision to execute continuous improvement. Professional Experience/Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field, or commensurate experience, required • Experience in Production Planning within a plant environment, required • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Material Manager/Supervisor role, required • Experience of Kanban process, preferred • Experience in managing suppliers of raw steel, castings, and ball bearings, preferred.
