Ability to analyze and apply problem-solving methods to meet the needs of geographic information systems users; to read and interpret detailed maps, blue prints and complex legal documents, and perform complex mathematical computations; operate computer workstation; plan and develop logical applications for spatial relationships; identify alternative solutions to various problems and work independently; develop and implement effective applications in a timely manner; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; develop effective working relationships with elected officials, managers, staff, vendors and other agencies. Considerable knowledge of geographic information systems; digital-data technologies; computer hardware and operating systems; digital-image data; field-data collection; project management; database management; documentation procedures; coordinate geometry; technical writing; Intergraph Esri GIS software, ArcView, Computer Aided Drafting software, programming Raster Image software (IRAS C), networking personal computers and file servers, and troubleshooting techniques for both hardware and software.
