The division is responsible for supporting both ongoing and temporary initiatives to ensure the continuous growth and development of the early childhood workforce and supporting local infrastructure, including the Colorado Shines Quality Improvement System (QRIS), the local Early Childhood Council system, the Professional Development Information System (PDIS), the Early Childhood Professional Credential (ECPC), the Regional Coaching Network, Recruitment and Retention Initiatives, Training and Instructional Design, Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) initiatives, the Expanding Quality in Infant Toddler Care (EQ) initiative along with the comprehensive efforts to improve compensation and benefits across the diverse mixed-delivery workforce. DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Work that involves exercising discretion, analytical skill, judgment, and personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, and sharing an organized body of knowledge that characteristically is uniquely acquired through an intense education or training regimen at a recognized college or university; equivalent to the curriculum requirements for a bachelors or higher degree with major study in or pertinent to the specialized field; and continuously studied to explore, extend, and use additional discoveries, interpretations, and application and to improve data, materials, equipment, applications and methods.
