Preferred Experience in the following environmental areas is preferred: • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems certified programs • Lead Auditor Certification • Professional Geoscientist or Engineer license • HAZWOPER Certification • OSHA Safety Certification • CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) Certification • Investigation, remediation, mitigation (water/soil/air/climate) • Water quality (drinking/source) sampling and field analysis • Emission inventory and compliance reporting • Sustainability and pollution programs • Geo-spatial information system (GIS) data analyses • Permit preparation, reporting and training • Public outreach and community relations in environmental sustainability or pollution prevention • Management of technical environmental staff or budget management/forecasting. 1 Leads extensive auditing and evaluation of air, water, or soil pollutants or other environmental risks for the city and its departments; evaluates and provides professional environmental expertise on pollutants, such as emissions of ozone precursors, particulate emissions, greenhouse gas emissions, water or soil quality indicators, including contaminants, and remediation program management; develops and manages programs to track these pollutants and to reduce them where feasible.
