As we continue our accelerated growth trajectory, we are seeking an Assistant General Counsel to work closely with the general counsel to help build and scale the legal department and manage complex legal and regulatory risks across our e-commerce, telehealth, and pharmacy operations.
p>Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds. You will build the US legal function from the ground up in collaboration with Blykalla's Head of Legal to enable efficient scaling of the group through transatlantic collaboration, own abroad scope from day one, and work alongside a leadership team that moves fast and takes the long view. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts - including technology licensing, supply chain, partnerships, and government agreements - while identifying and managing legal risk across the business.
Particular value will be placed on expertise in the core responsibilities of the role-including employment law, worker classification, commercial contract review, corporate governance, risk management, and experience supporting growing technology companies-as well as experience with election law, campaign finance law, voter engagement programs, political communications, or campaign operations.
