Basic Qualifications • 5 years of relevant experience • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school • Current member in good standing of a State Bar with the ability to become barred or a registered in-house counsel in the state where this role is located Preferred Qualifications • 4 or more years of relevant experience with a JD • Strong business acumen, ability to work independently and collaboratively and to engage directly with business clients at all levels • Practical and proactive problem solver, calm under pressure, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills, with an ability to explain complex legal issues to stakeholders who possess varying degrees of sophistication about legal matters • In-house and/or large law firm experience • Corporate employment law experience, both counseling and litigation, with some experience with California employment laws. Applicants must be skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and challenging but highly rewarding environment, have good judgment and strong analytical, client counseling, and negotiation skills, be self-motivated, and, most importantly, be a positive, intellectually curious, and collaborative team player.
