The primary responsibilities of this position include reviewing development construction documents, evaluating public infrastructure systems for design quality and compliance with City of Greeley design criteria, construction specifications, ordinances, and policies, and coordinating with City departments during permitting and construction.\n \nAdditional responsibilities include coordinating final project deliverables such as construction plans, engineering reports, subdivision plats, and development agreements; processing development-related permits (e.g., grading, infrastructure, and building permits); reviewing easements and subdivision plats; assisting with the drafting and coordination of development agreements; resolving construction-related issues; conducting final drainage inspections; coordinating project punch lists; and participating in or leading project-related meetings.\n \nThis position operates within a case management structure alongside a Planner and is supported by administrative and inspection staff.\n \nExperience, Education, and Skills\n \nMinimum Requirements\n \nCivil Engineer I\n\n Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or a closely related field.\n \n\n Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in civil engineering plan preparation, plan review, development engineering, or capital improvement projects.\n \n\n Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required within one (1) year of hire.\n \n\n Experience with civil engineering principles and practices, particularly related to the design and construction of streets, water systems, sanitary sewer systems, and stormwater drainage.\n \nCivil Engineer II\n\n Meets all requirements for Engineer I.\n Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in civil engineering plan preparation, plan review, development engineering, or capital improvement projects.\n \n\n Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.\n Employees may be expected to walk or drive short distances to attend meetings, trainings, or perform work at other city buildings or partner sites.\n \nEssential Functions\n\n Coordinate the review of construction drawings, as-built drawings, subdivision plats, development agreements, easement documents, hydraulic reports, drainage reports, geotechnical reports, pavement design reports, and traffic impact studies associated with new development projects.\n
