As an organized and savvy event coordinator, you are, well, SOCIAL. You are a Genesis brand ambassador to the public. You relish the opportunity to help conceptualize, coordinate, promote and go to our club and community events, managing the process and interacting with members & guests on a personal level. You know how to organize content, use proper grammar, and spell things correctly, but more importantly you have an insatiable passion for people and building community within our clubs. You’re a natural promoter who uses manual outreach, social media and PR to get the word out and get people excited about events. You’re passionate about fitness and can’t wait to spread the word like wildfire.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Attending club and community events, interacting with members and the community and sharing the joy of fitness wherever you go
- Developing relationships and contacts in the community to partner with organizations on internal and external events
- Assisting clubs in the development and implementation of a vibrant social calendar
- Communicating across departments and clubs to ensure proper preparation, staffing and implementation of events
- Understanding of current social media and digital platforms to promote events
- Utilization of Microsoft Office Suite and ability and other platforms as needed
- Plan and implement multi-faceted events
- Evaluate ROI of events to maximize time and resources
- Basic photography and videography to create content for posts
Job Requirements: - 2 years of event planning experience preferred
- BA in Hospitality, Communications, Public Relations or a related field preferred
- Outgoing personality with a love of people and fitness
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Excellent writing, language, and communication skills
- A team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary
- Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
- Strong customer service abilities
- Availability to work weekends and evenings required
- Ability to multi-task and remain nimble as priorities and opportunities constantly change
- Strong work ethic and can-do attitude
