Position Summary / Career Interest: The Ambulatory Clinic Assistant (Roomer) is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of patients through the health care setting by completing patient care tasks in a culturally sensitive manner with exceptional customer service; contributes to patient care by assisting with the clinic visit, performing patient vital signs, organizing clinic/exam rooms, maintaining supply/equipment inventory, performing in the role of the patient chaperone, Obtains updated information from patient, such as recent hospitalizations, recent cardiac tests from other facilities, allergies/reactions and pharmacy name/location. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of examination rooms; stocks assigned areas and ensures par levels of supplies are maintained; checks and completes required logs and equipment such as refrigerator logs, eyewash logs, emergency/crash carts, suction and other required checks.
