Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Design, or related fieldPreferred Education:Master's Degree in a related areaRequired Experience:3+ years in manufacturing with metal and wood (including MIG/TIG welding, lathes, saws, power tools), managing labs or maker spaces, supporting educational or project-based activities, supervision, and budget management or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Independent thinking, creativity, goal-oriented productivity, ability to implement best practices, proficiency with lab and maker tools (3D printers, CNC machines, electronics), excellent communication and training skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance. The Laboratory Manager will ensure safety and compliance across MakerSpace facilities, the MakerGarage and VIP team workspaces, while also supporting the MakerSpace's partnerships with academic programs and departments, such with the General Engineering program at Tandon.
