Specific knowledgebased competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: knowledge of classroom management, collaboration, communication, curriculum development, lesson planning, curriculum management software, curriculum mapping, education technology, instruction, leadership, pedagogy, andragogy, and training skills; knowledge of federal, state, county, local, and District codes; knowledge of federal, state, county, local, and district policies, regulations, and laws. Responsible for overseeing Guidance Department, Registrar, and Records Clerk: oversee support programs for students with special circumstances (IEP, 504, ELL, McKinneyVento, etc.); manage student registration process including open enrollment; oversee academic data storage; oversee the development of master schedule/classroom assignments and certified staffing needs; and oversee grade reporting process.
