Dell Seton Medical Center (DSMC) is a 220-bed, safety net, Level 1 Trauma Center, and serves as the inpatient training facility for this program. In September 2021, Dell Meds IM program deployed a resident staffed team to Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin (SMCA) Hospital. SMCA is a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care and comprehensive Level 1 Stroke Center. SMCA also has a Level IV Trama Center.About The Clinician Investigator for Addiction Medicine PositionThe Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an exceptional physician to join the Department of Internal Medicine as a clinician-investigator for Addiction Medicine who is committed to providing healthcare services to patients in need of addiction and/or substance use related care.Development of a strong health services research program is essential for meeting the goals of Dell Medical School. The clinician-investigator position will be primarily focused on additional medicine research and efforts to push the boundaries of medicine to transform patient care. Dell Med will provide mentorship and shared resources to ensure the greatest opportunity for advancement as a clinician-investigator.
