Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: • Provide quality teaching in assigned field of study to a very diverse student population in both lecture and laboratory settings; • Develop and revise instructional materials for both lecture and laboratory courses; • Assess student outcomes at the course, department, and College levels; • Establish, cultivate, and maintain collegial and cooperative work relationships within instructors in the Machine Tool Technology Department, the Department's administrators, academic advisors, and support staff, and all College personnel; • Participate actively in the college community through MTTC Department and School of Trade Technologies meetings and College-wide committee work; • Utilize campus technology to stay current in the machinist occupation and connect to faculty, staff, and students; • Participate in ongoing professional development activities and professional association memberships. • Master's degree • Teaching experience in a community college or technical school setting • Occupational experience in machine setup, programming, troubleshooting and operation of both manual and CNC equipment • Demonstrated computer skills with educational learning systems and Microsoft Office software • Experience developing and using student-centered, active, and experiential learning strategies • Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery • Experience assessing student academic achievement.
