Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
- Take orders from customers and cook foods requiring short preparation times, according to customer requirements.
- Grill, cook, and fry foods such as french fries, eggs, and pancakes.
- Set up and tear down equipment.
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Bring own knives
Required:
- Experience: 1+ year working as a line cook in a commercial kitchen
- Skill: knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking methods
- Skill: safe food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Skill: basic math and counting for measuring and portioning
- Skill: clear verbal and written communication with chefs and kitchen staff
- Environment: standing and walking for most of the shift, with lifting, bending, pushing and pulling
Preferred:
- Experience: working in concession stands
