    Self-Serve Advertising Specialist
    As a Self-Serve Advertising Specialist, you will help support Uber s US advertising business by enabling Restaurant partners to successfully plan, launch, and optimize search and display campaigns through Uber s self-service advertising platforms.
    Working alongside Partner Managers, you will serve as a trusted advertising consultant to important restaurant partners, providing strategic guidance, campaign recommendations, performance insights, and platform expertise to help advertisers achieve their marketing objectives. Rather than directly managing campaigns on behalf of advertisers, you will empower partners to effectively manage and optimize their own campaigns.
    The ideal candidate has strong paid media and advertising operations experience, particularly across sponsored products and paid search, as well as broader experience with display activation and strategy. You understand the mechanics of campaign management deeply and can translate that expertise into clear, actionable recommendations for advertisers.
    In this role, you will need to excel at client communication, data-driven storytelling, cross-channel strategy, and consultative problem solving. You will maintain a strong pulse on the evolving media landscape and proactively provide partners with recommendations, best practices, and relevant industry POVs.
    The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced digital advertising environment focused on brand-direct and/or programmatic media performance and operations.
    What You ll Do
    Serve as a strategic advertising consultant to Restaurant partners using Uber s self-service advertising solutions, helping them maximize the value and performance of their campaigns.
    Guide advertisers through campaign strategy, setup, targeting, bidding, budgeting, measurement, and optimization best practices while enabling clients to execute campaigns independently.
    Analyze campaign performance against marketing KPIs and provide proactive, actionable recommendations to improve results.
    Identify underperforming campaigns, diagnose potential root causes, and recommend appropriate optimization strategies and platform levers for advertisers to implement.
    Translate campaign data and performance trends into clear insights and recommendations for advertisers and internal stakeholders.
    Educate advertisers on Uber Advertising products, platform capabilities, measurement methodologies, and campaign management best practices to increase self-service adoption and proficiency.
    Partner closely with Partner Managers to develop account strategies and identify opportunities to drive stronger advertiser outcomes and business growth.
    Identify opportunities for incremental investment by demonstrating performance, uncovering untapped opportunities, and recommending strategies aligned with advertiser objectives.
    Provide guidance on performance marketing frameworks, including ROAS, budget allocation, targeting, bidding, measurement approaches, and optimization levers.
    Troubleshoot campaign and platform challenges by helping advertisers identify potential issues and recommending solutions or escalating technical issues when appropriate.
    Develop and share best practices, playbooks, insights, and industry POVs that help advertisers become more effective users of Uber s self-service advertising platform.
    Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects designed to improve advertiser experience, platform adoption, operational processes, and the continued growth of Uber Advertising.
    Surface recurring advertiser feedback and platform pain points to internal Product, Sales, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to help improve Uber s advertising solutions.
    Basic Qualifications
    Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience working with advertisers, media agencies, or creative agencies.
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in Ad Operations, AdTech, digital advertising, performance marketing, media strategy, or an equivalent role at a data-driven, technology-focused company.
    Strong expertise in sponsored products, sponsored search, or performance advertising campaigns.
    Strong understanding of digital campaign management fundamentals, including media planning, budget management, targeting, bidding, optimization, and measurement.
    Demonstrated ability to analyze campaign performance, identify opportunities, and translate data into clear and actionable recommendations.
    Experience working within ROAS or similar performance marketing frameworks.
    Strong client-facing communication and consultative skills, with the ability to explain complex advertising concepts and recommendations to advertisers with varying levels of media expertise.
    Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Product, Operations, and other teams.
    Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems.
    Preferred Qualifications
    5+ years of experience in advertising operations, media strategy, performance marketing, client solutions, or consulting at a creative or media agency, media provider, advertising technology company, or large advertiser.
    Experience advising advertisers on self-service advertising platforms or managing campaigns directly before transitioning into a consultative role.
    Previous experience with DV360, Meta Ads manager, sponsored products, retail media, or similar advertising platforms is highly desirable.
    Strong data-driven thinking and quantitative skills, with the ability to turn performance data into compelling recommendations and narratives.
    Experience managing or advising on large Performance Marketing budgets.
    Strong understanding of critical digital advertising components such as brand safety guidelines, ad viewability, measurement, and filtering for suspicious and/or fraudulent media activity.
    Ability to influence advertiser behavior and drive adoption of campaign best practices without directly owning campaign execution.
