Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift Post Acute Neuro unit position requiring 2 years of acute care RN experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

  • Position on a 30-bed Post Acute Neuro unit
  • Patient population includes neuro and oncology diagnoses
  • Patient ratio of 5:1
  • RN reads telemetry, no titration required
  • Administers BP meds, heparin, and pain medications; chemo administration for certified staff only
  • Uses IV pumps, PCA pumps, dynamaps, and feeding pumps
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am, working every other weekend
  • 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions
  • Provides patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
  • Mentors and precepts staff while demonstrating strong teamwork and leadership
  • Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
  • Participates in quality improvement and regulatory compliance efforts
  • No local rate drop for this position
