Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry with 2+ years of acute inpatient experience for a night shift Med-Surg/PCU unit requiring a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit with 9-14 beds
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Night shift, 6:45p-7:15a, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required per unit
• RN reads telemetry and titrates limited medications such as heparin
• Mixed acuity general medical/surgical diagnoses
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Performs skills including EKG, trach care, PCA, wound vac, and feeding tubes as needed

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family to coordinate care
• Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
• Supervises and mentors licensed and non-licensed staff members
