Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neurology/Telemetry unit position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior cardiac drip experience.

Details

  • Neurology Tower telemetry unit in a large Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital
  • Patient focus includes neurology, strokes, neurosurgery, and epilepsy monitoring units (EMUs)
  • 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend (EOW) required
  • No self-scheduling available
  • Floating required, with this unit being first to float
  • Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

  • Active TX or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, 3+ years preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital setting required
  • Experience with cardiac drips required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to neurology, stroke, neurosurgery, and EMU patient populations
  • Candidates must be flexible with scheduling demands
  • First-time travelers may be considered with strong hospital experience
  • Candidates previously employed directly (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible
