Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position at a busy Level 1 Trauma facility, requiring vasoactive drip experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care setting in the 14 Tower Cardio telemetry unit
• Patient population focuses on Congestive Heart Failure and post Cath Lab patients
• Requires experience with Amiodarone, heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Dobutamine drips
• Day shift schedule with every other weekend (EOW)
• 12-hour shifts totaling 48 hours per week
• No self-scheduling; candidates must be flexible with scheduling
• Floating required, with travelers expected to float first
• EPIC EMR used

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, 3+ years preferred
• BSN not required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital setting preferred
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to cardiac patients, including CHF and post Cath Lab recovery
• Work within a busy, large Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
• Floating required across units as needed
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
• Candidates cannot have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
