Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a busy Level 1 Trauma oncology/hematology unit requiring TX or compact RN license and prior cardiac drip experience.

Details

  • Acute care telemetry unit (20 Tower) focused on Oncology, Hematology, Surgical Laminectomies, and Sickle Cell patients
  • Unit includes 2 Clinical Research rooms with capacity for 2 GIP beds if needed
  • 12-hour day shift schedule with every other weekend required
  • No self-scheduling; candidates must be flexible with assigned scheduling
  • Floating required, including to areas requiring cardiac drip experience
  • EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active TX or Compact RN license required, active at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years with prior travel experience preferred
  • BSN not required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Previous experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital setting strongly preferred
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

  • Located in a busy, large Level 1 Trauma hospital
  • Provide direct patient care for oncology, hematology, and surgical laminectomy patients, including sickle cell cases
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to floating assignments as needed
  • Candidates must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
