Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for the Surgical Acute unit. The ideal candidate will excel in post-operative care and possess strong critical thinking skills. This role involves working in an acute care setting, providing care for a variety of post-op surgical and trauma patients.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:30)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Rotate every other holiday
  • Floating: Required to float to units with similar levels of experience
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Provide post-op care to surgical and trauma patients
  • Conduct dressing changes and wound care
  • Administer IV therapy and manage central lines
  • Assist with pain management and use critical thinking skills
  • Work collaboratively with team members

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or application in process
  • Confirmation of drug-free status
  • BLS Certification
  • Experience in post-op patient care

Preferred:

  • Good bedside manner and teamwork skills
