Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Mother-Baby / Postpartum – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Flexible assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available. Schedule options include 3x12s or 4x12s based on traveler preference. Six weekend days required per contract. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity postpartum unit serving a diverse patient population with high-risk obstetric cases
• Standard patient assignment of 4 couplets with ability to manage census surges
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
• 57-bed unit with daily census of approximately 45 patients
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of high-acuity postpartum experience
• Flexible contract length and scheduling options to accommodate your preferences

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetric care experience required
• Epic charting system experience required (hard requirement)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, Foley catheterization, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Experience with cesarean section care, episiotomy/incision care, fundus/lochia/perineum care, and vaginal delivery
• Experience managing patients with substance withdrawal
• JADA experience preferred
• Willingness to float to nearby campuses (Issaquah and Edmonds postpartum units) and Labor and Delivery for second hour of recovery
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
