Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Postpartum / Mother-Baby – Seattle, WA 98122
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), traveler's choice. Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available. Six weekend days required per contract. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Highlights:
- High-volume, high-census postpartum unit caring for a diverse patient population including high-risk obstetric patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 57-bed unit with daily census of approximately 45 patients; standard assignment of 4 couplets
- Flexible assignment options with choice of schedule and contract length to fit your lifestyle
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience in high-acuity postpartum care
- Opportunity to work with advanced technology and Epic charting system
Requirements:
- Active Washington state RN license or valid Compact license
- Minimum 2 years of recent postpartum nursing experience required
- High-risk obstetric care experience required, including ability to manage census surges
- Epic charting system experience required (hard requirement)
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, Foley catheter care, and postpartum hemorrhage management required
- Experience caring for patients with substance withdrawal required
- Ability to manage 4 couplets as standard assignment
- JADA experience preferred
- Willingness to float to sister campuses (Issaquah and Edmonds postpartum units) and Labor and Delivery for second hour of recovery
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
