Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring PALS certification and prior peds CVICU experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed pediatric cardiac ICU and 12-bed overflow unit
• Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD cases
• Patients range from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow
• Shift schedule runs 07:00-19:30
• 13-week assignment with a 36-48 hour contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide full SSN and DOB, copy of driver's license, and two separate references for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients across a range of complex diagnoses and post-surgical needs
