Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least 2 years of pediatric CVICU experience and PALS certification.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU with an associated 12-bed overflow unit
• Care for patients with congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD needs
• Patient population ranges from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow patients
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients across a range of complex diagnoses
• Radius rule applies which may affect eligibility for the travel pay rate depending on distance from the facility
• Local candidates accepted, though at a potentially reduced rate under the radius rule
