- Floating: May float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors when overstaffed
- Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110-$2,220
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, Stepdown, Telemetry, or similar acute care nursing experience
- Active RN license required at time of submission
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong experience managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity stepdown setting
- Comfortable working every other weekend and participating in holiday coverage as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for PCU and stepdown patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
- Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to unit standards and clinical best practices
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, and post-cardiac procedures
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when needed based on staffing
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic while maintaining excellent patient safety standards
