• Float Requirement: Travelers may float to Telemetry or Med-Surg as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Recent PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to titrate and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips is required
• Current RN license in hand at time of submission; compact RN license eligibility preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong skills in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and bedside monitoring
• Ability to work holiday coverage as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit for cardiac, pulmonary, and stepdown-level medical needs
• Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to unit protocols and provider orders
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for patients with CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, and post-cardiac procedures
• Interpret telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support coordinated patient care
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic EMR
• Float to Telemetry or Med-Surg units as needed based on staffing
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and a strong commitment to patient safety
