Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with cardiac drips, including titration and management, is a hard-stop requirement
• Strong background in telemetry, stepdown nursing, and progressive care unit (PCU) nursing
• Proficiency with Epic charting required
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:4–5
• Must be comfortable floating to telemetry or med-surg units as needed
• Must be able to work 3 of the 5 major holidays per assignment requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown setting
• Monitor, titrate, and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips safely and effectively
• Care for patients with CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, rule-out MI, and post-cardiac procedures
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
• Support patients requiring respiratory support, cardiac monitoring, and complex medical management
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain timely communication with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and clinical support staff to promote safe, compassionate patient care
• Float as assigned to telemetry or medical-surgical units based on staffing needs
