Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center within a teaching hospital setting
• PCU/Stepdown unit with cardiac telemetry patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 48-hour work weeks approved
• May float to Telemetry or Med-Surg units if overstaffed, with travelers floated first
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Cardiac drip titration and management experience required (hard requirement)
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, including titration
• Provide respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/PICC line management
• Support cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team activities
• Manage renal, neurological, and GI patient care needs as applicable
• Scrubs of any color accepted for RNs
• No parking fees at this facility
• Candidates must choose either Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday coverage, not both
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
