American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/PCU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown setting within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Patient ratio of 1:4-5
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient population
  • Floating between sister facilities may be required

Requirements

  • Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
  • Cardiac drip titration and management experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Previous charge RN experience preferred
  • Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care
  • IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including central line, PICC, and peripheral line management
  • Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, from a comparable specialty/setting
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care for cardiac, telemetry, renal, neurological, and post-surgical patient populations
  • Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, including titration
  • Support rapid response and code team activities as needed
  • Utilize isolation precautions and PPE per facility protocol
  • Scrub color for RNs is any color
  • No fee for parking at the facility
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate; local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
  • Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel RN and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Candidates may select one of Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both, as part of holiday commitment
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
