Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a MS/Telemetry unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and teaching hospital background.

Details

  • Work in the MS/Tele unit of a teaching hospital
  • Patient ratio of 1:4 to 5
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required within OSU system
  • Call required
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • 2 professional references required, at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit including cardiac monitoring, line management, and respiratory support
  • Skills include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, wound care, and insulin drip titration
  • Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
  • RTO must be submitted with contract and limited to 7 days or less
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
  • Current OSU hospital employees are ineligible for traveler positions
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
