Description

American Traveler is hiring a Step Down/PCU RN for night shifts requiring telemetry monitoring experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Step Down/PCU unit in a teaching hospital setting
• 36 hours per week on night shift (3x12, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required within OSU health system
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Must be able to pass a telemetry competency test
• Experience monitoring telemetry patients required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skills include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and insulin drip titration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Step Down/PCU patients including telemetry monitoring and emergency response
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates with only 1 year of experience are subject to manager review rather than auto-offer
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
