Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit requiring at least one year of telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit setting
  • 13-week assignment with rotating day and night shifts (3x12 hours, 36 hrs/week)
  • No fixed rotating schedule; shifts assigned based on organizational needs with primary focus on either days or nights as needed
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required within OSU facilities
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Must be able to pass a telemetry competency test
  • Some experience monitoring telemetry patients required
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
  • Current employees are ineligible to be hired as travelers at any Ohio State University hospital location
  • Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
  • RTO must be requested at time of submission and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
