Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a MS/Tele Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 1 year of progressive care experience.

Details

• MS/Tele Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• 13-week assignment, 36 hours/week
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required within the OSU health system
• Call required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or like telemetry experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
• Experience with wound care and IV insulin protocols
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide care for patients requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring, progressive care/stepdown level interventions, and emergency response management
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed for patient emergencies
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for a travel assignment at any Ohio State University hospital location
• RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of submission, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract as part of the credentialing process
