Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring an OH or compact RN license and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Details

  • Mixed-acuity Stepdown/PCU unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with general chronic medical conditions
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week
  • Some weekend shifts required
  • Floating within the OSU organization required
  • Call required
  • Open to both PCU and Med/Surg-level travelers based on experience and unit needs

Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
  • Comfortable working in a progressive care environment

Additional Information

  • Core staff will support PCU-level patients while unit needs are assessed for traveler placement
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former employees eligible for a new assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • RTO must be requested and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
  • Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract, with instructions provided by the credentialing team
