Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma and Life Support ICU – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day/evening), every other weekend required, holiday coverage includes Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Four 12-hour shifts per week available upon request. 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts.

• Epic EMR system with comprehensive orientation and training

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required)
• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Floating to other units as needed

Clinical Skills and Competencies:

• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Arterial line and central line management
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula management
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
• Care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Management of respiratory failure, ARDS, and traumatic brain injury
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
• PICC line management and phlebotomy

Patient Population:
