Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Trauma ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required. Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required. License: WI RN or compact RN license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required - AHA only. Must-Have: Epic experience required. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Description: We are seeking an experienced critical care Registered Nurse to join our team. You will care for critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced ICU environment. This unit provides care to surgical, medical, and trauma patients. You will work with advanced life support therapies, including ECMO and continuous dialysis. This position involves participation in evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes. The team was awarded the Gold Level Beacon Award, indicating a positive and supportive work environment. Travelers are required to float as needed. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The average daily census is 23 patients, with a total of 24 beds available. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient diagnoses include respiratory conditions, sepsis, GI bleeds, and post-operative management. Special procedures may involve managing patients with traumatic brain injury and those needing intensive monitoring and support.
