TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care / Medical Oncology RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Competitive salary with details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights or rotating combination based on department needs); 72-hour orientation provided; weekend shifts variable based on unit needs

Highlights:
  • 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 progressive care beds providing high-acuity patient care
  • Patient population includes solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 for PCU; 1:4-5 for Med-Surg Telemetry
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
  • Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required – ICU and PCU backgrounds welcome
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of current PCU experience
  • Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license accepted)
  • Current certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drip management
  • Experience with central line/PICC line management, port access, blood product administration, and IV starts
  • Competency with feeding tube management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
  • Willingness to float to equivalent or lower acuity units
  • Two professional references required (at least one from formal leadership/management)
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Preferred Skills:
  • Chemotherapy administration and monitoring experience
  • IV insulin protocol management and titration experience
  • Wound care and wound vac management
  • Arterial line management and surgical drain care
  • Phlebotomy skills
